Hungary joins the celebrations of Big Jump with the biggest splash in the region. 15 municipalities, 8 counties and 8 rivers and creeks participate in this year’s Big Jump, dedicated to the Amazon of Europe. Apart from Danube, Drava and Tisza, Szamos, Sajó, Túr and Séd creek are participating as well, while Gyermely is dedicating its Big Jump event to give a name to its creek No. 207.

WWF Hungary accepted entries for the nationwide Big Jump Challenge 2016 until Danube Day (29th June) – for which 15 settlements registered this year.

WWF Hungary hosts the central event in Dunabogdány, which is
sponsored by Coca-Cola Hungary and the city council of Dunabogdány.

WWF is organizing a bike tour from Budapest to the free beach and visitors will be expected from 11am at the venue. The first 300 who register for jumping will receive special gifts. There is also going to be a giant slide, crafts corner for the little ones and a beach volleyball championship as well. Right before jumping the Dunabogdány brass band is going to come and cheer the crowd. For more information, please see the poster below.
