The village of Kölked, lying on the fringes of the floodplains of the river Danube has always provided a secure breeding and foraging area for white storks. The White Stork Museum operating here since 2002 is unique even on the European level. The exhibition presents all stork species, their migration routes and habitats. Visitors can follow migration routes of storks on a huge lit-up demonstration board in the exhibition room.
