Hungary had an absolutely amazing nationwide "splash" to show its affection for and care about rivers. In total, there were 16 Big Jump locations, including one in the TBR MDD at Heresznye, where 113 people joined in and jumped into the Drava River.

The main event took place in Dunabogdány, where WWF welcomed a record amount of participants, as there were more than 310 people running into the Danube together (see video at the end of the article).

Hungarian media showed their interest in this event and many reporters and journalists turned up to broadcast some footage of the day, which can be viewed on the following two links:

In addtion to the Big Jump, the "Amazon of Europe" Day was celebrated with live music, a beach volleyball tournament and children could play in the water adventure park
